Can I have a flexible part in rubber, silicone, EPDM or Viton?
In a simple world only one material would be required for our flexible component needs. In the real world we often have requirements for materials as diverse as rubber, EPDM, Viton etc.
In these instances we need a prototype tool – no RP process is going to help. Suitable aluminium tooling can be manufactured in 1 – 3 weeks depending on part complexity with initial mouldings available shortly afterwards. Costs will exceed the prototyping options, so it is worth checking that the material requirement is real and not a 'nice to have'!
