Our Aim? Economically Viable Low Volume Silicone Components

We’ve had our new toy a few weeks now! So, what are our plans for the 3D Systems Figure 4 Standalone 3D Printer?

Figure 4 Standalone 3D PrinterWell, we have several long-standing suppliers who produce incredible 3D printed parts and we have no intention of trying to replicate their services, we have no need to, they’re so good at it!

At the moment what we can say is, we are ‘experimenting!’ Our aim is to develop the ability to economically produce low volume silicone components. To be able to turn around prototype quantities in 2 to 3 days, will allow us to fill the gaps we have identified in the market.

This will augment our existing ability to manufacture single and multi-cavity compression mould tools where the quantities and materials warrant it.

Prototyping true elastomers has always been an issue, and whilst some processes have moved forwards, the ability to use production materials in prototype leadtimes has long been a goal.

STOP PRESS! We've successfully cast our first silicone moulds!
