The World's first 3D printed bridge is happening!

Back in June, we reported on the ambitious project that Dutch company, MX3D, were proposing - to build the world’s first 3D printed bridge. We have great pleasure in announcing that construction has finally begun...

www.3ders.org tells us:MX3D 3D printed bridge

"the bridge will eventually be placed over the Oudezijds Achterburgwal canal in the Red Light District, due to the immense amount of pedestrian and tourist traffic, on-site construction was out of the question.

Instead, they are using a construction site at the old NDSM shipping dock in the north of the city, where visitor’s can stop by once a week to check on the progress. Construction is expected to last from three to four months, after which it will be moved to the more tourist-friendly spot."
