New 3D Printing development planned for East London
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has revealed plans to create the UK’s largest 3D printing centre, to be based in East London.
This development is a part of a vision to create a centre for cultural and creative industries providing tens of thousands of jobs and homes by 2050. The regeneration of 40 miles of the Thames Estuary is an ambitious one and includes additional centres of excellence for experiential arts, a film studio complex, a national theatre-making studio, as well as a home for digital creativity and gaming.
Mayor Khan explains, “It’s only right that we transform the Thames Estuary into a world-class centre for creative production – leading global innovation, developing the talent of the future and cultivating world-changing ideas.”
