Aldi has become the first UK supermarket to sell 3D printers!
Aldi sells the new Balco 3D Printer! Will you get one in your Christmas stocking this year?
The new Balco 3D printer, which costs £299.99 went on sale at the end of November (and has already sold out). No wonder really as it was priced at a staggering 67 per cent less than a similar model on sale from Curry's PC World, the UP! Plus 2, priced at £899.99.
The Aldi device allows users to print designs up to 20cm wide and 18cm tall, directly from a Micro SD memory card.
The fact that 3D printing is becoming so readily available at consumer level, and acceptable within public every day life is exciting. For example, as I was walking through a local John Lewis store last week, a 3D Printer was set up printing sweets for passers by and no one batted an eyelid!
Mmmm, I wonder if I'll get one in my stocking this year?!
