How do I get a metallic finish?
There are a number of processes that allow metallic finishes. Some seek to simulate the finish whilst others involve the deposition of a few micron thick metallic layer. Finishes in matt, gloss, brushed and satin can all be achieved and in a variety of metal ‘colours’.
Depending on the material selection, it is also possible for parts to be metal plated.
A key question is to resolve whether you need a 'metallic look', or' look and feel'. If it is only visual then you may be amazed what can be achieved with paint in the right hands!
Whatever you decide, please remember that the resulting surface quality is very dependent upon the effort spent dressing the surface to be coated.
