Materials Available for CNC Machining of Metal Parts
Parts can be CNC machined in a variety of metals, availability of the desired grade at source being the prime criterion for receiving a fast service.
The most common material used is 6061 aluminium, all of the following are also available.
- Steels
- Stainless steels
- Brass
- Copper
- Titanium
- Magnesium
The best guidance is to specify the generic type required and if known the grade, when combined with the available leadtime this will quickly determine whether Plunkett Associates can assist.
